= Book created to be non-linear, questions the practise of reading a book
= More shuffled approach
= Question behaviours and placement of imagery and text and change them
- sevenpointfourfivebooks.eu
= What is a book?
= What is its form?
= Getting someone else to publish your books means they create them
= Experimentation with images and their relationships with each other
= Can lead back into earning money
= Photocopying over photocopies in a random way = visually interesting
= experimentation by hand means you can't plan it on a computer
= 1 or 2 projects a year are gained through Instagram feed posts
----------------------------------
BRIEF
- Create book/zine on subject of 'the book'
= IDEAS
- Spines of books on book shelves presented as concrete poetry
- Page numbers from different books with margin of around the number = overlayed = shows peripheral vision of reader as they flick through the book
= Leon and Millie paired up to produce first idea
= Mel and Charlotte paired to produce second
= Come together with initial production to decide which idea should be taken forward by whole group
PRINTED
= Happy with the layouts of pages, with some really interesting interactions between some images and text
= Keeping it coloured but restraining on the amount of colours within a page refines it
= Would've liked to have done more pages
= But after spending further time taking pictures of more books didn't have time to create the outcomes to put in the print
= This time in the library could have been reserved for higher production quality
= Nicer paper = preferably cream coloured? Would have worked with the majority of cream coloured images
= Back cover could have had detail on it
= Bind could have been thought about
= Research project 505
= What if this was taken further for this module?
= All about perspective periphery vison
= Create a view finder (paper with hole cut in it) and that's what shows through each page
= What if a whole book is recreated with this view finder?
= Outcome wouldn't have to be a book = could be eg. interactive website
